Matt Hampton joined Sabine Mining Company in Hallsville, Texas, in 2006 as a mining electrician, beginning a career that has spanned more than two decades in the mining industry. He advanced quickly, becoming electrical supervisor and planner in 2009, maintenance manager for mobile equipment in 2016, and later transitioning to Florida in 2021 to serve as a maintenance manager for North American Mining. In 2024, Matt moved into his current role as Strata's parts manager, where he oversees the operations of Strata Equipment Solutions. His responsibilities include managing the procurement, distribution and sale of parts and supplies essential to dragline and heavy equipment mining.
With 22 years of mining experience and 30 years of maintenance expertise, Matt brings deep knowledge in maintenance management, preventive maintenance, planning and supervision. His background in both electrical and mechanical systems provides a comprehensive skill set that supports Strata’s commitment to reliability and operational excellence.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial technology with a minor in business administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. He also holds MSHA certifications in electrical, IS and EE.
